I’m conducting a super quick study about the emotional
experience of buying a wet/dry vacuum, and I need some help. I’m looking for
someone in the San Francisco area who would like to tag along with me and watch
two people buy a vacuum and then assemble it. Ok that sounds really boring
but . . .

It’s secretly about helping Lowe’s figure out
how to be more a part of the Maker culture.
·
If this goes well, it’s likely going to spiral
into a large 3-4 month project this summer, where I’ll need to hire an assistant
full time
Specifically, you would help with setup, note taking, and
interviews. You would also help me generate what the main themes of our observations
were through post-discussion. There’s a small chance we’ll stand at Lowe’s
during a day and just watch people’s interactions as well. Would anyone be
interested in helping me out on this project for 2-3 days during the following
weekends: February 8-9 and the weekend of February 22-24?
Time and Compensation
I’m planning interviews will last 4 hours, with 2 or 3
interviews occurring. For each day we do a research project, I will pay you
$150.
